What Personal Data do we Collect and Why

CONTACT FORMS

We require the user to fill out a contact form to get in contact with us. We will treat your details with respect and not pass them on to any third parties. Users have the right to contact us and request the deletion of all data pertaining to them from our system. E-mails are deleted from our system after being resolved unless the communication necessitates the ongoing storage of said e-mails. We do not use the information submitted through our contact forms for marketing purposes.

OUR ONLINE STORE
While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed.
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping.
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!
  • We’ll also use cookies to keep track of basket contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, e-mail address, phone number, credit card / payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • Send you information about your account and order.
  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints.
  • Process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Set up your account for our store.
  • Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes.
  • Improve our store offerings.
  • Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them.
  • Send electronic product renewals and update alerts.

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, e-mail and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders. We store the personal information you provide in your profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

All account and order information is synced with our Sage account software. We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for seven years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, e-mail address and billing and shipping addresses.

PAYMENTS
We accept payments via Stripe. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

Please note: Our website does not store any payment details. All payments are redirected to the Stripe secure gateways.

GOOGLE RECAPTCHA
We protect our website login and contact forms by using Google’s reCaptcha technology. When you open a form page, your browser will load this technology in the form of a tick box.

WHAT ARE COOKIES AND HOW DO WE USE THEM?
Cookies are small text files that are used to store small pieces of information. The cookies are stored on your device when the website is loaded on your browser. USAGE AND ANALYTICS DATA
Logos Publications currently utilises Google Analytics to track website interactions, with a view of further refining and perfecting the customer online experience. Usage of Google Analytics is subject to their third party terms and conditions, cookies policy, and privacy notice found here. Logos Publications and Google are prohibited from collecting information that could be recognised as personally identifiable and will treat all data with respect and care. Customers can opt-out of analytics by installing Google’s Opt-out Browser Add-on. Location data gathered by Google through the use of Google Accounts can be altered here

If you experience problems using our site and contact Logos Publications for support, you may be asked to disclose information such as the user’s Internet Service Provider, type of web browser or operating system, viewed pages, time and duration of site visits and other information relating to site usage. This will not be shared or retained after the issue has been solved.

THE SHARING OF USER DATA
As already stated, we use personal information and message data for internal purposes only. We do not sell or rent information about you. We will not disclose personal information or message data to third parties without your consent, except as explained in this Privacy Policy.

COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS
Logos Publications cooperates with government and law enforcement officials to enforce and comply with the law. WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

SECURITY
Logos Publications will use all necessary measures to protect the security of their data. As you will no doubt be aware, it is impossible for us to completely guarantee that user data will be immune from malicious attack or compromise; as such, the users should understand that their transmission of personal data is always at their own risk.

HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA
Sensitive data stored on our database is encrypted and protected in a variety of different ways including a firewall that identifies and blocks malicious traffic. Our security measures employ a real-time firewall rule and malware signature update package as well as the real-time IP Blacklist, which blocks all requests from the most malicious IPs, protecting your data and our website.

We regularly scan our website for malware, bad URLs, backdoors, SEO spam, malicious redirects and code injections.

We would like to be able to share more about our security precautions but to do so may cause more harm than good. Please contact us using the forms provided on our site if you have any questions regarding the safekeeping of your data from online threats.

UPDATING USER INFORMATION

Our users are permitted to correct, update, or change their personal information, or adjust or cease the frequency with which they receive communications. Our customers also have the ability to disable their account by contacting us via our online web form, in accordance with the Terms of Use.

CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
Logos Publications might make changes to its privacy policy from time-to-time and request that users acknowledge updates by accepting our privacy notification button. In any case, users who continue to interact with the site following a revision of our privacy policy will automatically be subject to the new terms.
